Her debut novel, The Second Wife’s Diary, follows a woman who discovers her predecessor’s diary after marrying a widower — and begins to understand, slowly and then all at once, how much she was not told. The book is not about betrayal. It is about the particular way knowledge changes a person who thought she already knew enough.
