About Nikah North
A single voice. Not a publishing house.
Nikah North writes psychological fiction about domestic life — the arrangements people make, the things they keep, and what happens when both are discovered.
She lives somewhere cold. She makes the bed every morning.

The work
The debut novel — The Second Wife’s Diary — is a domestic psychological thriller set across two marriages and one diary. It is quiet. It does not announce its intentions. Neither does it apologize for what it is.
The book follows a woman who discovers her predecessor’s diary and begins, methodically, to understand how much she has not been told. The story is not about betrayal. It is about the particular way knowledge changes a person who thought she already knew enough.
The voice
Dry. Precise. Occasionally slightly absurd. Self-aware without being performative.
The narrator sounds reasonable right up until you realize she isn’t. The book reads flat; the reader supplies the shiver. This is intentional.
